Now? Maybe one or two translation type jobs a year, with the General Market agencies gobbling everything up. The minority work is derivative of the GM versions, it's rarely original.<br /><br />On the rare occasion it is original, the work coming out of the ethnic agencies is beyond pathetic because they're not getting any of the time resources compared to their GM colleagues. <br /><br />Worse, the GM agencies are now selling their Total Market capabilities except (surprising no one, and not causing concern with AT&T at all) the Total Market teams are entirely white with one minority translator, copywriter, junior AD OR (at least in the Asian and Hispanic work) a whole crew of foreigners on a variety of visas masquerading as US minority experts. <br /><br />No one notices, no one cares, and no U.S. minorities are benefiting in any way remotely comparable to Milana Vayntrub. But, hey, WOMEN POWER! DIVERSITY! (for white women anyway). And AT&T is riding that all the way to the diversity awards and public relations celebration bank. JianQnoreply@blogger.com
