Never quite sure what to make of Jane Maas, especially as she seeks to cash in on AMC series Mad Men via her repackaged autobiography and media appearances. The woman seems to delight in reminiscing about the golden age of Madison Avenue—including all the sexism and inequities female staffers experienced in advertising agencies. Maas recently shared her memories in a video interview that appeared on Aol. The mad woman stated, “People ask me all the time, ‘Is Mad Men, the television series…accurate? Were women treated that badly? Did you guys have 3-martini lunches…was there really all that much sex in the office?’ And I say, ‘Everything you see on Mad Men, we did more of—only I think we had more fun doing it.’” Um, does that include the racist discrimination?
