Corporations love producing diversity ads to hype commitment to an inclusive workforce. Yet these advertisers seem unconcerned about partnering with advertising agencies where diversity is almost viewed with adversity. Granted, many companies compensate by mixing up their AOR rosters with minority-owned shops. But does such a move really negate the contradictions of associating with agencies that have steadfastly resisted moving beyond predominately White work environments?

ReplyDeletefreaking hypocricy. Nike has known about the lack of diversity at W+K for decades. It doesnt matter now. They were involved they knew the games that were played, and the pawns they had to manuever to keep the charade going on forever, now that their own man"dan wieden" has put them and himself as well as his agency on blast for lack of diversity they make a meaningless poster about the whole fiasco. Do u think were stupid. If they can pay some low wage worker in china to make 100 dollar sneakers, they can ignore lack of diversity for decades also. Its nothing to them. Dont be fooled, there not sincere neither do they care if we buy their lame excuse. If u want change get all the black athletes the endorse and blackball them, something theyve done at agencies for decades to african americans. Whats fair is fair, turn the damn tables on them.
