You can’t choose your mom… but Kleenex managed to stereotype the role via its inane promotion. The Black mom is overweight and street smart. The Latino mom wears colorful flower patterns and speaks of traditions and wisdom. The Asian mom looks really smart. Not sure about the White mom—a tribute to Golden Girls’ Bea Arthur perhaps?
