Kiss My Black Ads posted an excerpt from “Where Are All The black People?” Andrew Bass Jr. managed to capture video on some of the action, although the footage quality is reminiscent of the
Zapruder film. It’s hard to get a clear sense of what really occurred at the event, as the outtake mostly spotlights one panelist discussing White privilege. Not convinced that focusing on White privilege will move things forward, as the concept is too complex for privileged Whites to comprehend. Looking forward to hearing more from participants or journalists who were present. Catch the clip at Kiss My Black Ads or
vimeo. And anyone with more details should feel free to leave a comment.
All that talk & no action. Where was the action? You got all those diversity people in one room, and not one bright idea? FIRE THEM ALL!!! These people dont give rats ass about diversity. The white man got yall confused. The industry will never diversify. Jeff Goodby got yall running around like a bunch of 5 year olds on a playground thinking your making a difference. They control the industry, dumbasses. Not you. The oneclub is run by white men, the ad industry is run by white men. GM agencies are run by white men. Diversity organizations are funded by white men, but are run incompetently by black people. You guys dont control hiring practices. They do.
ReplyDeleteZapruder film; my thoughts exactly. We need a magic bullet to help in this situation.
ReplyDeleteThat last commenter is pissed! I don't know what side he/she lands on though.
She/he seems to care an awful lot about not caring?
Maybe he/she gives a sh*t about not giving a sh*t?
What are we to take from his/her comment?
