Former Leo Burnett Chairman-CEO-Chief Creative Officer Richard “Rick” Fizdale authored a book—“999: A History of Chicago in 10 Stories”—that covers “the wealth, greed, power, corruption and even murder that accompanied the rise of arguably the most beautiful and historical residential building in Chicago.” Fizdale is a resident at the ultra-elite property, which isn’t surprising when realizing the man was among a quartet of executives that collected $300 million for the sale of Bcom3 Group Inc. (which included Leo Burnett) to Publicis Groupe in 2002. One could say Fizdale has personal experience with wealth, greed, power and corruption. Anyway, this post was actually typed upon learning that Artist/Writer/Recovering Adman Lowell Thompson published a review of Fizdale’s book. Thompson’s critique is titled, “A Great Guide for Chicago’s ‘Un-Colored’ 1%!” Check it out.
