I want to get behind Lowell Thompson, I really do. But I also want to grab him and tell him to buckle down and restudy the basic elements of persuasive writing, so that the world can see what a powerful voice he has and what important things he has to say.
Because if he can harness that power and put it in words and stories that are more focused, less meandering, and stop drifting off on tangents to god knows where halfway through the writing that never circle back and pay off, damn. The places his words could reach. And we need loud and determined voices like his more than ever in advertising. Hell, in general.
