The Marketing Arm is responsible for this BOD Man commercial titled, “Fresh Outta The Chair.” Given all the cultural stereotypes and clichés, “Fresh Outta The Toilet” would have been a more appropriate title.
It feels stereotyped because it doesn't seem to have been created by anyone who's ever spent significant time (outside of what they've seen in movies and teevee, maybe a research trip or two) in a barbershop.
It will still probably get an ADCOLOR Award though, because surface level diversity and a feather in the cap of ADCOLOR backer Omnicom (especially with The Marketing Arm belonging to Omnicom) is all that's required.
Good luck finding anybody black working on a campaign like this.
