Adweek reported how former WPP Overlord Sir Martin Sorrell not only pissed off a chauffeur and executive assistants, but the White holding company’s shareholders as well. The latest complaints from shareholders centered on an exit package in excess of $26 million to be pocketed by Sorrell over the next five years. You know, while he’s building S4 Capital—which he swears won’t compete with WPP. Not sure why the shareholders are so outraged. To continue the comparison presented in a previous post, when a pimp decides to leave the whorehouse, he takes the profits with him. The hookers left behind can gripe about it, but they don’t really have a say in the matter.
