Bronzecomm published Frederick Douglass’ “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?”—aka The Fifth of July Speech, as it was delivered on July 5, 1852.

 

In 2023, NPR published a recording of the iconic speech delivered by descendants of Douglass.

 

In 2022, Democracy Now! posted a video featuring the late James Earl Jones reading the iconic speech.
