I love the title of the category Blacks and Booze better than the idea of whoever came up with the ad.

Because here’s what the 40-somethings in the art department were thinking:



Silver – let’s after all, give culture a new name – is confident.

Not Sam Jackson confident, after all, who is? But street-smart confident.

Self-assurred too. Bad-ass? Bet. How do we know? We’ll put two women in the ad. He doesn't even need to look at either one to keep an eye on them. They’re not going anywhere. Bitch, I know where you live.

THAT’s the confidence Silver brings to the party. And he brings it every night.

You see, Silver can chill at the shop. He doesn’t forget where he came from, even if he did make it to the ivory towers across town.
