Advertising Age published a perspective by recording-artist-turned-pseudo-marketing-maven The piece is a winding, incoherent regurgitation of the pap presented by every charlatan claiming to be an industry thought leader. The musician declared, “MAKE CONVERSATIONS NOT ADS...” Hopefully, will follow his own advice, as his ads to date have been amateurish and awful. He then wrapped it up by introducing a new catch phrase: Communiting—“communication between people and companies that enables or sustains a community…” Gee, this guy is sounding just like an old-school adman. brill.i.aint.
