Essay 1615

If Wal-Mart’s really committed to diversity, don’t advertise it — just walk the walk.

Usualy these diversity ads are part of a series on "diversity" that some pub is running. Then the companies participating end up looking stupid by sticking the word "diversity" in the headline or body copy.

I can attest that my local Wal-Mart is a veritable United Nations of employees. Not sure about corporate in Arkansas...

Yeah, I'd have to agree with JetPacks-- our local Wal-Mart has almost no US- born Caucasian-Americans working there.

And I love those "series" - it's like "hey, if we run these ads for free in our magazine, we don't have to hire any black people!"

They said 'Walk' get it? It's like, you use shoes to walk in? Get it?

Diversely stupid.
