Earth Hour is celebrated today—at 8:30 pm local time—whereby people across the globe turn off their lights for sixty minutes to show symbolic support for the planet, as well as raise awareness of environmental issues impacting it.
Adland will undoubtedly spotlight flashy advertisements for the single hour that far outnumber any Black History Month campaigns—and absolutely outshine any performative promotions for diversity.

Although not when there’s an opportunity involving glaring self-absorption, blinding self-interest, and glittery awards.
It’s such a turn-off.
