7754: Bud Light Clueless On The 4th Of July.
This Bud Light commercial celebrates the Fourth of July with cultural cluelessness. Showing the Founding Fathers partying obviously prohibited the brand from displaying a diverse cast, as any Blacks would have been slave servants—or rape victims. At least Thomas Jefferson didn’t roll up with Sally Hemings. Plus, it’s pretty asinine that the creative team included a reference to “the benjamins” and used a musical soundtrack made famous by the late James Brown.
