Essay 595


Dodge proclaims, “Respect the unexpected.” The new campaign presents unique Black folks, linking them to the Dodge Caliber. The connection is clumsy. And kinda expected too. Sorry, this concept deserves disrespect.

i find it interesting that the quirky enthusiasms that used to draw ridicule from the other kids in the 'hood (i.e. yoga, chess, rock n' roll, surfing, etc.) are now being lauded and used to sell to the masses. what next?!
