Clio Collections continue to clearly represent the segregation and systemic racism in Adland. That is, the collections include obscure categories like Autism Awareness Month and Brain Health Awareness Month—as well as multiple buckets catering to White women and LGBTQi audiences. Plus, expect a collection for the upcoming Clio Cannabis Awards.
Yet besides Chinese New Year Ads and Outstanding Brazilian Illustrators, there are no collections for multicultural campaigns. Nothing recognizing Black History Month, National Hispanic Heritage Month or Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month. No diversity recruitment campaigns.
Is it asking too much to create a Clio Crumbs Collection?
