That is, word of the Emancipation Proclamation didn’t reach African Americans in Texas until two and a half years after its signing. To comparatively examine the advertising industry, Blacks have heard that equality awaits—yet still wait far too many years to experience fair opportunities in the field.
In Adland, justice is not only delayed—it’s deliberately delegated, deferred, diverted, dodged, and denied.
