DiversityInc is hosting Talent Development: Diversity-Strategies Event in October. The list of sponsors features major corporations including AT&T, Marriott and Toyota. Additionally, the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity presents powerhouses like Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola and Verizon. Noticeably absent from the sponsors and Top 50 honorees are advertising agencies and holding companies. All of which continues to beg the question: Why do global advertisers collaborate with ad shops whose dismal track records on diversity run completely counter to the clients’ accomplishments?
