7884: Paid Announcements.

A Midweek MultiCultClassics Monologue…

• Forbes magazine named Jay-Z as the highest-paid rapper of the past year. Um, when did rappers get their own category with Forbes?

• Charges were dropped against Ice-T for driving with a suspended license and no seat belt. Somebody cue the “Law & Order” musical effect.

• Eryka Badu paid a fine and will serve 6 months probation for going naked during the filming of a music video. Somebody cue the “Law & Order” musical effect again.

• Potential Haiti presidential candidate Wyclef Jean has gone into hiding, citing death threats. Hey, if he’s flipping already, what does he expect will happen should he actually win?

• Wonder what Dr. Laura Schlessinger would have to say about the items above.
