7166: AdVerve—Not Your Stereotypical Podcast.
Bill Green of Make The Logo Bigger and Angela Natividad of AdRants have launched AdVerve, a new podcast. The inaugural topic is race and diversity in the advertising industry, and the duo are joined by Hadji Williams for a two-hour discussion. Check it out here and hear why Bill, Angela and Hadji can pretty much kiss goodbye any chance of ever winning an ADCOLOR® Award.

This interview is precisely the kind of thing that should win an adcolor award!
KMBA,
Agreed. However, ADCOLOR® Awards have not traditionally gone to people or efforts like this. It’s unlikely Sanford Moore or Harry Webber will ever be awarded a trophy, despite the fact that their contributions to industry diversity are completely unprecedented. In 2007, the inaugural year of the awards, MultiCultClassics officially nominated Hadji Williams. Bill Green was one of the people who contributed a letter of recommendation with the entry. Anyone who wishes to see a copy of the original entry, feel free to leave a comment with an email address. A post on our nomination can be viewed here. To be clear, this is not about sour grapes. The people who win the awards are deserving of the honors. Yet it seems like ADCOLOR® steers away from the controversial. But, as always, that’s just one blog’s opinion.
guess my AdColor days are numbered. I'm thinking Nancy Hill won't be having me over for drinks any time soon either.
She might if you coughed up $200 for a yearly membership.
That’s where you're going about it wrong. You need to start your own org, have some speeches here and there and charge a hefty membership fee. The annual awards show would only feature culturally clueless ads with winners each receiving a gold “Hadji.”
And we'll do a Facebook page too. Maybe even Twitter that shit.
"A gold Hadji"
HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! LOL!!!
I gotta see that.
Look at the consortium of trouble makers over here. *shaking my head*
You would have to be either a complete moron to give $200 dollars folks at adcolor. Its a setup. These diversity organizations are already screwed so why not take as much people with them to confuse the next generation coming up, because after all there not like you guys there about "positive dialogue" and keeping the peace.
