Not sure why Black History Month only receives a Chicago Black Restaurant Week, but don’t let that deter you from celebrating.
These numbers are all well and good, but they're just that. Numbers. There's no breakdown of what seemingly ethnic group is dominating the industry, and my personal experience is that it's mainly hires from Asia and the Middle East. Not minorities or BAME in the traditional sense, mind you. They're upper crust and elite hires from well-off social circles abroad, who normally don't care to mix with people or issues of color once they cross into the UK.
