Apple tapped the late Maya Angelou to celebrate diversity with an iPhone commercial titled, “The Human Family”—declaring, “We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike.” Okay, but the White advertising agency behind the spot—TBWA Media Arts Lab in Los Angeles—is probably more alike the typical White advertising agency with its exclusivity, my friends.
